I'm baaaack

Greetings from Seoul Korea! I've decided to turn this blog back on cause I am now in Korea, can't sleep and would like to document my time while i'm here. Some of you are probably asking, "Where did you go? What's happening? Why are you in Korea" Well here goes...

My last post was back in March it looks like. Since then a lot has changed but a lot is still the same. The big thing is that I'm no longer employed. In a nutshell, they wanted to send me back to my job in Toronto but I said I wasn't ready to go back so I had to resign. My "plan" is to find a job in Bahrain and stay out there for a couple of years. I miss you Blakes people!

Ok...some shoutouts!

Big thanks to Tim. After I left Blakes...Tim let me stay at his flat. He's been a very understanding roommate considering what you have to put up with when you're living with me.

Big thanks to Leon. He's been very understanding of what I've been through while working at Blakes Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Couldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for you and you were always there for me with sound advice.

My family. Usually when you decide to quit your job and travel the world...your parents want to kill you. My parents have been very supportive and I think are liking the fact that I'm out travelling the world.

Yes there are people I'm forgetting but if it wasn't for the people above...I'd be in a gutter somewhere.

Neways, back to what I've been up too. My last day of work was on May 1st. Since then I've sent my resume out to a few people but to be honest I've pretty much been enjoying my first real vacation in a few years. Yes, I've gone to North Carolina and taken time off here and there but it's always been doing family things for the most part. After my last day at work...I decided to do what I do quite well. Party.

And party I did. I partied harder than I have partied for 9 straight days. Many thanks to my Bahrain peeps that came along for the ride.

Jonny - You are a ball of hurt. But remember...I can always hurt you more.

Areej - If it wasn't for your afterparty palace...I would probably be in GZ dead ;) Many thanks to you and TJ for letting me pass out at your place and all the mini adventures we go on.

Chris and Adel O - You guys are legend!

Bridget - Yeah, you got a job and got all responsible on me...but it's all good. I will soon teach you the ways of working and partying at the same time (naps are your friend)

Heather - You rule Canuck girl. I miss our pool parties already.

TJ - You are a good man even if you are Jordanian. ;) Remember Turkish Airlines and the 4 bears in Areej's room.

There are too many to mention but thanks also to Sophie, Ashley and Dani (I had to put those three together cause they move as a unit), Mariya, Yolanda, Pippa, Jo, Carole, Mo, Fatima, Fatiha, Roudy, Cocoon Lounge, Andy M, Andy Scotland, Vasily, Mark R, Mike M, Henry, Matt B, Lucy B, those visitors from Saudi, Saleh, Husam, Zein, Arthur, Lyn, Becca, Julie (back in Toronto), Ameur, Shaqfu, JJs and anyone else I've encountered along the way. Hopefully I can get a gig in Bahrain so I can stay longer to get up to more shennigans and debauchery.

So yeah, during those 9 days I must of seen the sun come up tonnes of times. Most of my nights were spent in Cocoon (my home base in Bahrain) but I think most of my most memorable nights were at random afterparties where we drank our faces off. The best nights were the ones where you thought you'd be going for a beer or two but you'd end up at several different venues making an ass of yourself. Many thanks to Advil, Panadol, Water and Gatorade for making all of this possible.

Partying is partying but let's go over some of my memorable moments:

The time we were about to go to Ground Zero and some friends were walking out of it. We quickly changed our minds and left to go to Wranglers and had an afterparty at my place which ended up with three guys totally KO'd on my couches.

The Romanian moonshine afterparty. The invicible Saudi princess Areej drinks more than she thinks and actually goes down for the count for many hours straight under her coffee table. It was a sight to behold.

The many passouts of TJ. Worst Jordanian ever.

The many injuries of Bridget. I don't think I've ever met a more injury prone person in my life. Like...who sprains an ankle while dancing to Footloose, who drops a laptop on their face...so many more.

Andy M and the pink doughnut incident.

Andy M and smashing his laser gun off his knee trying to break it and drawing blood.

The Indian photographer telling me to open my eyes (THEY ARE OPEN!!!)

I think I need to take a nap so I will write more later.
